GUIDELINE FOR MS

MANAGE MS THROUGH YOGA

After having received numerous email inquiries for advice on how to approach a practice to manage MS through yoga, I have put together a guideline based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, my experience and personal daily yoga practice. This guideline is NOT a sequence of poses, but rather a guideline of principles to begin to explore the practice. The guideline offered here is best suited for those who either have a familiarity with Iyengar Yoga or have access to work in conjunction with a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher.

Though yoga is not a cure for MS, my MRI report comparing an MRI scan of December 2012 to January 2011 reflected, “Lesions in the left parietal subcortical white matter appear to have reduced in number and size.”

I have made the Guideline available here which offers a little more insight into my journey with the condition. If you’re interested in learning more about how to approach a yoga practice and purchasing the guideline, please click here or the MagCloud button on this page. The digital version of the Guideline is best viewed on a computer or tablet.

For those who prefer a printed copy of the Guideline, no problem.  A high quality printed soft cover copy is available for on demand order through MagCloud as well. Due to the printing and shipping costs, the price is different than the online version and is reflected accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE: I strongly recommend that those with no previous yoga experience first seek the counsel of your health care provider and a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher in your area PRIOR to purchasing the guideline or commencing any yoga practice.

Thanks for your interest.
Peace always.
